How to Become Laser-Focused on Your Goals…

The walls of my office are covered with pictures of my goals…

High Achievers Never Lose Sight of their Goals!

It’s important to keep reminders of your goals in front of you all the time. Because if you don’t, life has a funny way of getting in the way of your goals. Don’t kid yourself, unless you are looking at your goals on a daily basis, your goals and dreams are probably just pipe-dreams.

I don’t take any chances. The walls of my office are completely covered with Olympic memorabilia:  posters, awards, medals, and pictures of the luge tracks.  All of them are reminders of my dream and mind-builders towards my goal.

By doing this, my mind is constantly bombarded with my dream, competing in the Winter Olympic Games. No matter where I look, I’m continually reminded of where I am headed, where I want to go. If I daydream, I daydream about the Olympics. So it’s easier for me to do the things I need to be doing to get to the Olympics. And before long, I’m in the Olympics.

The wall in front of my desk is covered with pictures of my goals…

Most people won’t take the time to re-decorate their home with reminders of their goals and dreams…

Heck, most people won’t even take the time to write their goals down on a daily basis (the least you should do to stay focused).

That’s why I’m so excited about a great new tool that automatically keeps all of my goals in front of me every single day…

A system that effortlessly trains your subconscious mind to help you reach your dreams and aspirations…

Filming “Pass It On” - The Movie…

Ed Foreman, Greg Reid, myself, Les Brown, and David Corbin during a break…

Just got back from LA where we finished filming “Pass It On.” This project was a blast. We got to spend time with some incredible people. We were actually shooting in the same movie studio where the TV show “What’s Happening” was shot.

On the set with Scott Evans…

Next month we head out to Park City to be a part of the Sundance Festival.

With Greg Reid and Scott Evans…

The bubble gum machine is the the movie’s symbol. It represents the heart of the movie. How successful people are willing to so what unsuccessful people are not willing to do.

The bubble gum story goes like this… Imagine you find $1000. Most people will spend the money on something. Say… a sofa. But successful people will have more discipline. They will invest the money. For example… on a bubble gum machine. In a year, they will have made $1000, then they can buy the sofa, and still have a business that nets them $1000 a year.

This movie will show people simple ways they can become more successful. In a very entertaining way…

“Pass It On” is scheduled to be released in March 2007. Check out the trailer right here.

Shreveport, Louisiana and Elvis…

Sitting where Elvis sat 50 years earlier…

Just got back from speaking in Shreveport, Louisiana’s Municipal Memorial Auditorium. The dressing room in the theater where I spoke was covered with pictures of Elvis Pressley.

Later I found out that I was speaking in the first theater where Elvis had played when he was just getting started. In fact, the first time the words “Elvis has left the building” were ever spoken was at that arena.

Elvis began his career at the Municipal Memorial Auditorium on October 16th, 1954. Elvis was signed to a contract to perform every Saturday night for $18 dollars a show!

Colonel Tom Parker “discovered” this phenomenal talent and bought his contract out for $10,000 dollars after 18 months, but without a doubt, it is on the stage of Shreveport’s Municipal Auditorium that Elvis developed the techniques that forever changed the world of music.
It was pretty cool getting to speak right on the stage where Elvis got started. And to sit in front of the mirror where he had sat 50 years earlier.

This is a great business!

For My Liberal Friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

Making a Difference this Christmas…

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

heifer.jpg

A cool way to make a difference…

I’m doing something really special this Christmas season that you can help me out with. I’m doing my little bit to end hunger by raising money for Heifer International.

A really cool way to make a difference…. read on….

Heiffer provides a pregnant cow to a family in an impoverished country and the family that receives the cow (for daily milk, etc.) gives the calf to another family.  The lives of 2 families were changed with one click of a mouse.

What I love about this program it that it sets in motion a cycle of giving that will bring many people together. Click here to learn how you can make a big impact in others’ lives:

Why am I excited about Heifer.org?

- Impressive 60 year track record
- Have already impacted 7 million families in 125 countries
- The concept of starting a cycle of giving is sheer genius!
- Check them out yourself and you’ll get excited too!

Can’t afford to donate a cow? No big deal…you can donate a rabbit, or a duck, etc. Every little bit counts and can make a ton of difference to a poor family.
Thank you in advance for making a difference, and Merry Christmas!

Ben Stein on God…

Ben Stein

Ben Stein

If they know of him at all, many folks think Ben Stein is just a quirky actor/comedian who talks in a monotone. He’s also a very intelligent attorney who knows how to put ideas and words together in such a way as to sway juries and make people think clearly.

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary, Sunday, 12/18/05.

Ben Stein

For many years Ben Stein has written a biweekly column called “Monday Night At Morton’s.” (Morton’s is a famous chain of Steakhouses known to be frequented by movie stars and famous people from around the globe.) Now, Ben is terminating the column to move on to other things in his life. Reading his final column is worth a few minutes of your time.
