Just spoke for 3000 people in Midland Odessa at the “Get Motivated” seminar with Zig Ziglar. I’ve been getting to share the stage with Zig several times a year in front of big audiences for several years now.

Since we homeshool our kids, we have a lot of flexibility with our schedules. Gabriela got a few days ahead in her studies and got to come with me to Midland. She got to hang around with the speakers, get to see how a show is put together, and even got to sit front row center when Daddy was speaking.

How valuable are those life lessons? Would not trade them for the world!

I just got back from Tucson where we got to spend a great day inspiring and teaching 4000 people success principles. I had the pleasure of meeting Zig’s wife Jeanne. I’d heard about Jeanne in Zig’s tapes and his presentations. Zig calls Jeanne a decided redhead. One day she just decided to become a redhead!

We had breakfast together and had a blast. Hopefully next time my wife Cheryl will be there to make it a foursome.

When he got back from the war he became a river guide down in the Colorado river. He spent several years living in a tee-pee earning $6000 a year.

Sales Training with Tom Hopkins

Just got back from speaking at Tom Hopkins’ Sales Boot Camp. Cheryl and I got to spend three great days in Scotsdale with 700 top salespeople. Tom’s organization is a class act. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to be part of the event.

Tom’s company develops Sales Champions. And it turns out that Tom has his own “Champion’s Creed.” I’m going to share it with you because just like my Champion’s Creed, it is based on universal principles that will work for anyone, anywhere, anytime. Not just for sales people.

Of course, whether you know it or not, everyone, including you, is in sales. If you’ve ever been out on a date and especially if you’re married… you’re in sales. You have to sell yourself to other people every day to achieve your goals and dreams.

Success Tips: Scottsdale, Tom Hopkins, and Belief…

I’m off to Scottsdale to speak at Tom Hopkins Sales Bootcamp. It will be great getting to hang out with 700 of the top salespeople in America. Some of the other presenters will be Dave Ramsey, author of “The Total Money Makeover,” and John Miller, author of “The Question Behing the Question,” and “Flipping the Switch.” Scottsdale in August… 115 Degrees!

I’m sure one of the topics discussed will be belief. Because unless you believe in yourself, none of the sales techniques Tom teaches will work. Here are some thoughts on belief…
