Motivational Success Tip 2

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Are you an amateur or a pro?

Whether its on the athletic field or in the board room, you can tell the amateurs from the pros by their dedication and by their commitment to excellence.

Professionals take themselves seriously. In hockey it means skating every shift. In basketball it means running the court every time. In football, it means intensity ans running crisp plays.

Pros take themselves seriously. They don’t just show up. They respect the game.

When you’re not playing full out you are not respecting the game - or yourself.

The same is true in your professional life. Are you simply showing up and doing the least you need to do in order to not get fired? Do you waste time at the water cooler with the non achievers who bad mouth your company and its leadership?

Or are you committed to do your best and laser focused on your tasks?

Your commitment to excellence in everything you do will determine the quality of your life. Be a pro at work, at home, and you will create a wonderful life.
