Million Dollar Round Table event in Japan

Speaking for MDRT
The Million Dollar Round Table flew me to Japan to speak for 6500 Financial Services high achievers.
I’ve never eaten so much sushi in my life. The production was amazing. 5 IMAG schreens positioned all over the arena so people in the back could see.

What you see here are three of the big screens above and around the stage. I’m the little ant sized dot down in the middle of the stage.
Very few Japanese people speak English so eveyone wore a little headset so they could listen to the simultaneous translation.
Because of the translation, there was always a 5 second delay to audience response. I would say somehthing funny, and the laughter would come 5 seconds later… That really throws off your timing and makes you feel like you are bombing.

The peole from MDRT were terrific. 100% professional. Since this was a big show, we had to get there a couple of days early to rehearse our presentations. In fact, we had to turn in written transcripts for the translators months ahead.
Here’s a picture of the people setting up the chairs for the event.
The Japanese are very meticulous and make sure things are done right. Every row was measured out with plumb lines on the floor to make sure the chairs were perfectly straight.
MDRT flew in speakers from Canada, the US, England, and Australia. The three day show was fantastic and I’m looking forward to speaking for them again.
Speaking for MDRT is considered the Superbowl for professional speakers. Just having the opportunity to speak for them was an honor.

This was truly an international event. The top Financial Services professionals from 27 countries attended. This is a picture of the famous MDRT Opening Ceremonies with flags from all attending nations.

My job was to inspire and equip the attendees to fight for their dreams, to focus on their goals, not on their obstacles, and to always build their relationships with their clients.

To always put their heart and passion into everything they do so they can be the best that they can be.
To create a legacy that will live on for many years.
Like always, I want the audience to think:
“If THAT guy could make it to three Olympics, then we can do ANYTHING!”
I want them to get to the top, but more importantly, to STAY there!
Here are a couple of comments from MDRT’s leaders:
“Ruben is an outstanding, accomplished and inspiring speaker.
Ruben WOWED our audience at a Million Dollar Round Table event.
Attendees told us his presentation inspired them to pursue their goals with determination and dedication. Ruben has one of the most compelling and on point messages I’ve ever heard present to
the Financial Services Industry.”
Guy Baker - 37 year member of the Million Dollar Round Table

“Ruben’s story will inspire any audience. After listening to Ruben speak it would be difficult for an audience not to raise their aspirations and more importantly, their achievements.”
